Steel surface protection solutions used in the Linfox BevChain Laverton Project. It highlights the benefits of Dulux® Metalshield® High Build ZP Primer and the spray application process used by coating contractor Genis Steel.

The Liverpool catenary poles are protected against corrosion and graffiti with a heavy duty protective coating system comprising Zincanode 304, an inorganic zinc silicate, Duramx GPE ZP, a two pack epoxy zinc phosphate and Luxathane R two pack gloss polyurethane. A coat of Durethane Low Sheen was then applied to achieve the perfect gloss level.

Roof trusses and other structural work in warehouses in which the interior is dry and very low corrosivity can be coated in Congard, a single pack primer-finish that contains the corrosion-inhibiting pigment, zinc phosphate.

The Loreto Library features a micaceous iron oxide finish for its subtle metallic aesthetics.

The Rising Conveyor at Loy Yang B Power Station Latrobe Valley is subject to corrosive coal dust. A zinc-rich primer and heavy duty glass flake epoxy barrier coat now protect the structural steel.

Maitland Aquatic Centre's structural steelwork is subject to constant moisture and strong oxidizing agents and therefore must be protected from corrosion using high performance protective coatings.
