The Liverpool catenary poles are protected against corrosion and graffiti with a heavy‑duty protective coating system comprising Zincanode 304 an inorganic zinc silicate, Duremax GPE ZP a two‑pack epoxy zinc phosphate, and Luxathane® R a two‑pack gloss polyurethane topcoat (now superseded by Luxathane® HPX). A final coat of Durethane Low Sheen was applied to achieve the required gloss level.
