Mirvac's Yarra's Edge at Docklands is subject to corrosive airborne salts and city pollution. The structural steelwork is therefore protected with an AS/NZS2312 "PUR5" protective coating system comprising Zincanode 402 zinc rich primer, Duremax GPE epoxy intermediate coat and Luxathane R, superseded by Luxathane® HPX, is two pack polyurethane topcoat for an aesthetically pleasing finish and protection against UV radiation, graffiti and moisture ingress.
MIT Manukau Auckland New Zealand is a purpose built campus in the heart of Manukau, and encompasses a mix of individual and group study spaces, a 250-seat performing arts and lecture theatre, computer labs, media labs, project spaces and a simulated office environment, as well as the Manukau railway Station.
Eleven newly installed 55-metre gantries on the Monash Freeway in Victoria were coated with a 3-part system including Zincanode 402, Durebild STE MIO and Weathermax HBR to provide long lasting protection against atmospheric corrosion.
For steel cladding on a new freeway underpass, a customised version of Weathermax HBR delivered high opacity and lasting colour brilliance. Durebild STE primed the asset against corrosion.
