Application of a high-quality coating system on the external mild steel surfaces of the Whitten Oval Training Facility exceeding the standards set out by AS2312.1:2014 PUR 4. The coating system provides excellent corrosion protection, adhesion, barrier protection, durability, UV resistance, and weathering performance.

The WIN Stadium is a major sports venue in a severely corrosive coastal location, and subject to intense UV radiation, corrosive salt laden air and the occasional "sandblast" on windy days. As with all public spaces, protection against graffiti is also important. A high durability high build epoxy intermediate barrier coat and polyurethane topcoat tick all the boxes.

Some of the items painted in this project include conveyor trusses and hoppers for the processing of lithium on site before being transported off site.

Protective coatings were applied across off site and on site steelwork, delivering corrosion protection, fire resistance, and durability through a three coat system, including intumescent fire protection, and high build weather resistant topcoats for long term structural performance requirements.
