Dulux PC technical sales representative Dave Sinclair recommended a trial of the Dulux® Duration range and attended the application to ensure it delivered results.
"The Council had tried different systems over the years, including gloss enamel and gloss acrylic. There were complaints about the lingering smell, and the long drying times," Dave explains.
"The Duration range provided a complete solution, combining excellent durability with fast drying times."
Dulux® Duration® P23 was used as a spot primer on bare steel, followed by a coat of Dulux® Duration® X21 across the entire job and a topcoat of Dulux® Duration® T74 in Gloss Black.
The two-pack products offer protection from corrosion, and UV and graffiti resistance. They are easy to apply, with fast drying times and low odour. The products can be applied by brush, roller or spray, and equipment can be washed out in water.
The trial application delivered excellent results, Dave reports.
"The issue of smell was non existent. The clean up was safe and easy because no solvents were used. Recoat times were shorter, which meant a quicker return to service."
