Intumescent Coatings. Optimise performance with Dulux PC
Recently, Engineers Australia, in partnership with Dulux Protective coatings hosted our first ever online webinar.
The topic was Fire Engineering – Design and Application of Protective Coatings to Optimise Performance. Construction failures in recent times, such as the Grenfell Tower in London, the NEO 200 building in Melbourne, and the Opal Tower in Sydney, highlight the critical issue of performance-based fire modelling in engineering compliance and design.
The key note speakers included Dr Greg Baker, Dr Colleen Wade and Dr Daniel Nilsson. All directors of Fire Research Group Limited, they are experts in fire engineering. They discussed the latest regulations, research and challenges facing engineers with regards to fire modelling and gave an insight into the various performance-based materials and methods that are fit-for-purpose for the engineering profession and community.
With over 1,000 attendees of the live event and more than 5,000 views and counting from a global community since the recorded webinar was made available we have received a great response from a highly engaged audience about this critical and topical subject.
