Delivering Long Lasting Line Marking Solutions

Aeron Group was tasked to deliver durable, low maintenance line marking across high use operational sites. Deteriorating exterior asphalt and heavy vehicle traffic meant the solution needed to stand up to continuous movement, weather exposure and demanding operational conditions.

To meet these requirements, Aeron Group, selected Dulux® Roadmaster® A1 in white and green, having used it for trafficable areas for previous projects in the past.

Why Roadmaster A1 Was the Right Choice

Roadmaster A1 is a single pack, fast dry road marking paint formulated with a durable alkyd modified chlorinated rubber resin. Its key benefits aligned with the specific needs of multiple car parks environments including:

•    High durability for heavy use areas
•    Low dusting, enabling sharp, clean line edges
•    Suitable for bitumen and concrete without bleeding or discolouration
•    Proven performance on roadways, car parks, pavements, warehouses and industrial floors
•    Ideal for government, council, school and hospital projects where reliability is essential

For this project, long term performance was a priority. Aeron Group had previously completed similar installations where Roadmaster A1 delivered up to three years of service in harsh, high traffic conditions.

Across the sites completed for this project, the coating has already demonstrated strong durability through the first six months of service.

Equipment and Training Support

Jim Dalgleish from Dulux® Protective Coatings’ Industrial Service Centre in Wetherill Park played a key role by assisting with product procurement and providing in house training on the correct use of Roadmaster A1 and the Graco 390C Airless Sprayer.

As an electrical contractor delivering full EV charging installation packages, this training enabled Aeron Group to complete the entire scope of works — including surface preparation and line marking — without the need for subcontractors. This approach reduced overall project management time, eliminated additional site inductions, and delivered a more streamlined and cost efficient outcome.

Faster Application with Airless Spraying

Using the Graco 390PC airless system, Aeron Group achieved consistent spray patterns and accurate application over asphalt and stencil work. The benefits included:
•    Faster, more controlled application
•    Clean, high visibility lines
•    Quick drying times suitable for operational hospital environments
•    Efficient delivery of multiple coats in short timeframes

Across both sites, Aeron Group completed 20 car spaces within two days, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

“With the combination of Roadmaster® A1, the use of airless spray technology, and the application training and support provided by Dulux Protective Coatings, Aeron Group has been able to deliver a durable, high performing finish that meets the long term needs of operational facilities.”, explains Jim.
