The Australian Standard AS2700 “Colour Standards for General Purposes” presents reference colours for use in choosing colour schemes in the industrial, architectural and decorative areas with particular emphasis on paints and related materials.
AS2700 has been in use in Australia since 1985, and is extensively referred to in many other Australian Standards, such as the AS1345: “Identification of the Contents Of Pipes, Conduits and Ducts”, and the AS1318: “SAA Industrial Safety Colour Code” which is the use of colour for the marking of physical hazards and the identification of certain equipment in industry.Top of the page
The colours here are a guide only. For accurate colour matching to AS2700 colours, refer to AS2700:2011 and its associated colour swatches.
The colour samples here are only indicative of the colours available, and may appear to vary from colours on the actual product colour. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately match the colours, Dulux Protective Coatings advises that there may be significant colour variation between the two. Please read our Colour Accuracy Statement.
