The Australian Standard AS2700 “Colour Standards for General Purposes” presents reference colours for use in choosing colour schemes in the industrial, architectural and decorative areas with particular emphasis on paints and related materials.
AS2700 has been in use in Australia since 1985, and is extensively referred to in many other Australian Standards, such as the AS1345: “Identification of the Contents Of Pipes, Conduits and Ducts”, and the AS1318: “SAA Industrial Safety Colour Code” which is the use of colour for the marking of physical hazards and the identification of certain equipment in industry.
